Many species of birds live and nest in the Meduxnekeag watershed. Some bird species have relatively stable populations; others appear to be increasing in numbers; still others appear to be in decline, although annual variations do not necessarily indicate long-term trends.
While many of the bird species commonly seen live on the watershed, there are also lots of seasonal birds that can only be seen during certain seasons and nest elsewhere. Migratory birds can also be spotted as they pass through the area.
All of these birds can be seen on the Meduxnekeag river!
